  • Southport’s Hangar 4 is home to RRC Polytech Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Journeyperson (AMJ). This program is the only Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer apprentice-model training program in Canada, and is open to all Canadian aircraft maintainers and approved maintenance organizations (AMOs), regardless of location.

Aviation Community

Southport is home to one of KF Aerospace centres (KF Aero is Canada’s largest commercial MRO). KF Aerospace leads a group of partner contractors to provide Selection, Basic and Advanced pilot training and in-service support for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in Southport.

Stuck in the Middle (SIM) Airlines is Southport’s newest Hangar 5 tenant that utilizes the space for maintenance on their ATR-300. SIM is an indigenous owned airline that services people from the north.
